US Navy to kill 1,800 whales and dolphins and deafen 15,900 more

According to the U.S. Navy’s own estimates, the use of high-frequency underwater sound for testing in Hawaii, the California and Atlantic Coasts, and the Gulf of Mexico will deafen 15,900 whales and dolphins and kill 1,800 more over the next five years.

Whales and dolphins depend on sound to navigate and live. The Navy is required to include comments from the public on their Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), so your signature and comment on the petition could help stop this naval program and save the lives of these ocean creatures.

Update: 11 year old trans girl lost appeal

The above article is an update.  Her mother went to appeal to keep her out of the psychiatric ward and lost.  She will be institutionalized because of her expression of her gender.  She will be held until she conforms to male gender and then released to foster care, not her mother who was supporting her.

Please, if you haven’t signed the petition, sign it, reblog it, ask your friends to sign it. We’ve managed to get 40K signatures for a pageant model, we’ve only gotten 11K for a little girl about to have her life ruined.  Lets get on the ball and spread the word.

This is a petition on the Directgov website - this goes straight through to parliament and at the current time of posting it only has 21 signatures

I know a lot of people are reblogging the one sponsored by anonymous which is great but if you live in the UK, this is going to be your best best at getting yourself heard about ACTA - even if you don’t live in the UK or even the EU, PLEASE REBLOG THIS, as ACTA is something that not only affects Europe but the rest of the world as well and this could be one of the only opportunities for it to be downturned
