Seriously; Matt’s upset face is the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever laid eyes upon.

It’s like the look a child gets when you’re trying to tell them their rabbit’s gone to heaven.

#There is something very young and vulnerable about the way he cries #Like he’s not trying to mask the tears or make them ”manly” #But they’re just there #And raw#Like his emotions #Matt Smith #is a phenomenal actor

And yet he’s so OLD in them, too. You can see the centuries in his eyes. Which is pretty astonishing for a man who’s not yet 30.

It’s like he’s seen this all before - that nothing’s new, but it still hurts all the same. He’s spent years on his own trying to make life worth it, but under all those bow ties and fezzes…he’s just broken. And it’s times like these where his cool exterior is chipped away, and you get to see what he’s really like inside. He’s the last Time Lord…and he’s broken.

I’m so happy that everyone is now seeing Matt Smith for the incredible actor and Doctor that he is. I am so proud and happy for him. [He] is being put to fantastic use, and giving so many people so much joy."

#I am convinced that this was not in the script #Matt was supposed to jump on the hammock and missed #because he’s Matt and he is a danger to himself and others #and this line was just an expression of his confusion#THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED AND NO ONE WILL EVER CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE

“That’s what interests me about The Doctor because, actually, look at the blood on the man’s hands. 900 years, countless very selfish choices, and he’s literally blown planets up. His own race, you know, that’s all on his hands. Which is why I think he has to make silly jokes and wear a fez. Because if he didn’t, he’d hang himself.” -Matt Smith
